Privacy policy

Silica Cleaning Co. collects information needed to prepare estimates, respond to requests, schedule and provide cleaning services, communicate with customers, protect the website, and maintain business records.

Information we collect

When you request service, we collect the information you provide, including your name, phone number, email address, service address, preferred appointment details, home size, bedrooms, bathrooms, requested service, selected extras, property condition, and notes. Our systems also receive technical information such as your IP address, submission time, and basic request data used for security and spam prevention.

How we use and disclose information

We use this information to calculate and confirm estimates, contact you, schedule and perform services, maintain customer records, prevent abuse, resolve concerns, and comply with law. Information may be available to Silica personnel and assigned cleaners when needed to provide service. We use service providers including Google Workspace, Linode, and Cloudflare for email, records, hosting, security, and infrastructure. We may disclose information when required by law or needed to protect customers, workers, Silica, or the public.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request, provide services, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted website connections and access-controlled systems, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to review, correct, or delete information you submitted by emailing [email protected]. We may retain information when legally permitted or required. We will verify requests as reasonably necessary.

Tracking and policy changes

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, and successful quote requests. Google Analytics may use cookies and process information such as device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed, and interactions. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, or customer notes to analytics. We have disabled Google signals and ad-personalization signals in our website configuration. Google may process analytics data under its own privacy policy.

The website does not use cross-site behavioral advertising or respond separately to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Infrastructure and analytics providers may process technical data to deliver, measure, and secure the site, but Silica does not sell personal information or authorize quote-request information for third-party behavioral advertising. If our practices materially change, we will update this page and its effective date.

This website and its services are intended for adults. Children under 18 should not submit personal information.

Service terms

Estimates and booking

Website prices are estimates based on the details you provide. Sending a request does not create a confirmed appointment. Silica will confirm the scope, price, arrival window, payment arrangements, and cleaner availability before booking. We may revise or decline an estimate when the property details or condition differ materially from the request.

Access and preparation

You are responsible for providing safe, timely access; working utilities; parking or entry instructions; and notice of pets, alarms, fragile items, or other relevant conditions. Please secure valuables, medications, firearms, confidential documents, and irreplaceable items. Excess clutter may limit the areas we can clean.

Scope and safety

Services cover only the scope confirmed for the appointment. Unless separately agreed, services exclude hazardous materials, biohazards, pest infestations, mold remediation, exterior or high-access work, heavy lifting, and tasks that present unsafe conditions. Silica may stop or decline work when a property presents an undisclosed hazard or working conditions are unsafe.

Payment and damage concerns

Payment timing and accepted methods will be confirmed before the appointment. Please report suspected damage as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours after service, with photographs when available. Silica is not responsible for ordinary wear, pre-existing damage, unstable fixtures, or items that were not reasonably secured.

03

Cancellation policy

Plans change. Please email [email protected] or reply to your confirmation message as early as possible.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling at least 24 hours before the confirmed arrival window have no fee.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee of up to $50.
  • If the crew cannot enter the property or begin work within 20 minutes of arrival, Silica may treat the visit as a late cancellation and charge up to $75.
  • Silica may waive a fee for emergencies or circumstances outside your reasonable control.

If Silica must reschedule, we will contact you promptly and offer another available time. No cancellation fee applies when Silica changes the appointment.

04

Satisfaction policy

If an area included in the confirmed scope was missed, contact us within 24 hours of the completed service. Please describe the concern and include photographs when helpful.

When the concern falls within the agreed scope, Silica will arrange a reasonable re-clean of the affected area, normally within 48 hours and subject to access and crew availability. The re-clean remedy applies to missed cleaning work; it does not cover permanent stains, damage, inaccessible areas, work outside the confirmed scope, or conditions that changed after the crew left.

We want to resolve concerns directly and fairly. Contact [email protected] or call (408) 466-6476.
